Seiko has announced a new stunning addition to their Alpinist collection, the Seiko Alpinist Mountain Sunset 2021<\/a>. This newest model is inspired by Europe’s breathtaking scenery and mountain ranges. The brand has stayed true to tradition and as with all of their models, the design of the Seiko Alpinist Mountain Sunset<\/a> tells a story. The muted colours of the design are influenced by the sun setting behind a mountain top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The inspiration behind this model plays into the history of the Alpinist collection beautifully. Mountain climbing, or alpinism, has been a popular recreational and tourism activity for years. Wanting to honour one of Japan’s most famous past-times Seiko<\/a> launched the first-ever Alpinist, first introduced in 1961. The watches are designed to be able to withstand the challenges of the sport and the perilous terrain. Its name, the Alpinist, comes from the Japanese “yama-otoko\u201d or \u201cmountain man\u201d, which is best translated in English as “alpinist”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seiko Alpinist Mountain Sunset Limited Edition<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Warm greys and browns ground the design and breath a new sense of adventure and into the classic Alpinist collection. Though understated, the colours which were chosen for the limited edition Seiko Alpinist Sunset highlight the watch’s more masculine rugged features of the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"stock<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The watch’s case is made of stainless steel and measures 39.5 mm in diameter. Two crowns are featured on the case, one at the 3 o’clock position and one at 4 o’clock. Increasing the durability of the model is the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, which encases the grey dial. The flange surrounding the dial is black and features white compass markings. The dial is complemented by a mix of pointed silver indices, Arabic-numerals and luminescent Squellete hands. A date aperture is placed a the 3 o’clock position. A magnifier above the date increases the watch’s readability. Securing the watch is a brown leather strap which closes with a deployment buckle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The movement on the watch is automatic with an impressive power-reserve of up to 70 hours. The accuracy of the watch is between -15\/+25 seconds per day. This model is limited to 2021 pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
