Water conservation is one of the most important steps we can take towards a more sustainable and ecologically friendly way of life. Its importance is paramount. What we don\u2019t seem to consider when it comes to our water consumption is that water is a finite resource that needs to be cherished. With every project, Oris<\/a> has shown commitment and passion to the cause over the years. Most recently the brand has partnered with Seoul KFEM to create the Oris Hangang limited edition watch.

Seoul KFEM and Hangang River<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Seoul KFEM is part of the Korea Federation for Environmental Movements. Since its founding in 1993, the foundation has had a number of important victories. Some of the most important work the organization does concerns water and river conservation. Seoul KFEM and Oris have partnered on a project to highlight and combat the issues surrounding the river Hangang. The river is the second-longest river in South Korea. It supplies water to the country\u2019s capital making its conservation of paramount importance. With the release of the Oris Hangang limited edition watch, the brand is supporting a series of clean-up days to rid the waters of pollution and debris.

The Watch<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This limited-edition model is based on the widely popular Oris Aquis watch. The Hangang timepiece retains the same functionality and precision of the Aquis line while providing a new exclusive design. Its case and bracelet are made of stainless steel. The case measures at 43.5 mm and features a ceramic bezel insert in magnificent emerald green. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on either side protects the sunray dial in a matching green. The green colour of the design is inspired by creeks at Hangang\u2019s source. Large thick luminescent indices and hands contrast the dial and ensure ease of reading in any condition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Functions on the model include a date indicator situated at the centre of the dial, giving it a distinctive sectioned look, and a small seconds subdial. The watch is water-resistant up to 300 meters or 30 bars and features a screw-in security crown. The case back has a special engraving of a map of the Hangang River. An automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve is fitted on the watch. The watch is limited to 2000 pieces.
