Maurice Lacroix<\/a> is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of its Pontos collection. First launched in 2000, it\u2019s only fitting for the line to make a comeback. The new releases come in a range of styles and have a variety of functions allowing you to find the perfect fit for yourself while still celebrating this exceptional milestone. Maurice Lacroix\u2019s anniversary Pontos models are characterised by an elegant retro-chic aesthetic.

The brand is releasing 5 new models for the occasion; a limited edition Chronograph monopusher and two new versions each of the Day-Date model and the automatic chronograph. The design of the timepieces has been modernized but still kept true to the original models. Subtle elements have been added and perfected highlighting the spirited style of the collection. Undoubtedly a timeless classic, Maurice Lacroix\u2019s anniversary Pontos models blend contemporary and vintage style to create an elegant horological masterpiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

What differentiates the collection is the understated refined design of the cases. Highly detailed elements have been incorporated in order to highlight the vision Maurice Lacroix had for these timepieces. A shoulder has been included on either side of the crown. This gives the case an attractive subtle asymmetry and serves to protect it. The bezel features two different finishes which add interest to the design. It’s polished and has a thin satin-finished edge. With attention to detail being so important to the brand no part of the timepiece is overlooked. The crown is finished with spiral scoring. The lugs on the watch have the unmistakable Pontos shape. Their top tier has a satin finish while the second outer level has a polished finish.

Pontos Chronograph Monopusher Limited Edition <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Though all the new releases share some of the same design elements each new variation of the base three models stands out with its own unique features and functions. The Chronograph monopusher limited edition is limited to only 500 pieces. It features a single push-piece at 2 o\u2019clock and has an almost all-black design, excluding the dial. The watch was designed to be durable and to subtly challenge the expectations set by the industry on how a chronograph should be. It\u2019s telemeter and tachymeter scales, respectively in red and blue, are featured in the centre of the black gradient dial. The watch also has a 60-minute subdial and a small second\u2019s subdial. An exhibition case back showcases the watch\u2019s movement.

Pontos Chronograph <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The new Pontos Chronograph watches feature a larger 43 mm case. The shoulders on either side of the crown act as pushers for the chronograph mechanism.  In typical Maurice Lacroix fashion, the watch\u2019s colour palette selection makes its style stand out further. The two new versions are a lacquered white dial with vibrant blue hands and hour marker or a grey sunray dial with yellow gold detailing. A special 20th-anniversary engraving features on the case back. The models are available with either a bracelet or a blue leather strap for the model with the white dial and a black strap for the sunray dialled model.

Pontos Day-Date<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The other new anniversary Pontos model is the Day-Date. Classic, refined and elegantly understated the timepiece comes in two new colour variations yet retain the beloved familiar design. One of them sports a stunning sunray green dial with a bronze case and a brown leather strap. Rose gold-coloured hands complement the case, while the triangular Rhodium-plated indices add a touch of modernity. The other variation is a significantly more modern looking silver-coloured sunray dial with gold-coloured indices and hands. The second variation comes with a bracelet or a black leather strap.
