Cycling fans rejoice Tour de France is only 11 days away. After being postponed back in June due to COVID-19, the highly anticipated cycling competition will finally commence on the 29th of August. The Tissot Supersport Chrono Tour de France 2020 limited edition watch was created in order to commemorate the race\u2019s 107th edition. Tissot has released limited-edition timepieces for the sporting event in previous years as well. 2020, however, marks the 5th year in a row in which Tissot has been the official timekeeper for the Tour de France.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tissot<\/a> has partnered with Amaury Sport Organisation in running a range of cycling events throughout the year. The Swiss watchmaker has a long-standing tradition in racing, dating back in 1958 and have since become an expert racing timekeeper. Tissot holds themselves to the highest standard and has devoted itself to providing exceptional precision and quality in their timepieces.

\"Supersport<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Specially created for this year\u2019s race, the Supersport Chrono Tour de France 2020 limited edition watch retains the attractive sporty look of its predecessors while building on the previous models\u2019 capabilities and design. The watch\u2019s case is made of 316L grade stainless steel and measures at 45.5 mm in diameter and 11.9 mm in thickness. Its bezel is made of aluminium and is coloured black to match the dial. It has an engraved tachymeter scale up to 400 km\/h. A special Tour de France engraving features on the case back.

\"case<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The black sunray dial features 3 subdials for the chronograph. Thick rectangular indices and large sword-shaped hours and minutes hands contrast the black dial. They are filled with ultra-legible Superluminova to increase the readability of the dial in any condition. The watch features yellow detailing on the dial and the strap. This is inspired by the yellow jersey given to the leader in each stage of the competition. The colour has become a symbol of excellence and a goal for every cyclist in the race. It is featured on the bezel, on the scales on the subdials as well as on the seconds hand. Elevating the exclusive design, even more, is the counterweight of the second\u2019s hand which bears the silhouette of a bicycle. The watch comes with a set of interchangeable straps. One is black rubber with yellow trim and undersides, and the other one is brown leather. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial.

The watch has a Swiss quartz movement, with calibre ETA G10.212 and 4 jewels. It also features an end of life indicator. The watch is water-resistant up to 10 bars or 100 metres.
