The Latest from Swiss watchmakers, Certina<\/a>, is the DS PH200M. This Certina DS model provides a timeless piece. With all the modern advancements that we have come to expect from the brand. Part of Certina’s Vintage range, the DS PH200M has draw inspiration from many different directions. One of the main inspirations is the Swinging Sixties, for it’s style at least! The technology for this watch is the most up to date from Certina, and is certainly from the modern day! Its robust design and quality workmanship makes this watch the perfect companion for all the challenges that life sends your way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The predecessor, and inspiration for the DS PH200M comes all the way from 1967. Today’s version stays true to the original when it comes to design too, with many features remaining the same. The black dial, with red accent features, as well as the black unidirectional graduated bezel. Not to forget the turtle embossed in relief on the case back too. Which has become a classic feature that fans love about Certina watches! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Certina DS PH200M has been revamped for modern life. It’s Super-LumiNova coated hands and indices, as well as the 42.8mm diameter shows that this watch is undoubtedly set in the here and now. This is before we even take a look inside the PH200M. This is where we will find the innovative Powermatic 80<\/a> Automatic movement. The Powermatic 80 that comes with an 80 hour reserve, to keep you going at all times.

Another fantastic new feature about this model is the strap options. You can either purchase this with a Milanese stainless steel mesh strap (C0364071105000<\/a>). Or a classic brown leather strap too (C0364071605000<\/a>)! Both models come as a set along with a blue\/grey NATO strap too, just to offer a level of personalisation and choice! If this isn’t enough, the watch also comes fitted with a quick change system. Allowing you to put any style of strap that you want on, without needing any tools at all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly to it’s 60’s predecessor, the new DS PH200M pulls inspiration from the original DS concept, that we have come to know and love! This watch still stands out from all other current models, as unlike modern Certina watches<\/a>, this piece features a hesalite edge-domed crystal glass, with a resistant NEX Scratchguard coating along with a separate mounting ring. this mounting ring ensures double security and water resistance up to 200m (20 bar). The new DS PH200M proves itself a worthy and stylish successor to the 1967 original.
