If you’re an aficionado of top quality timepieces then you will know all about Junghans. You will also certainly know all about the Junghans Max Bill collection, which contains some of the most beautiful and stylish German\u00a0timepieces on the market.<\/p>\n

For those of you who aren’t already aware of the Max Bill collection by Junghans, it is an incredibly famous collection of German watches designed by Swiss architect, painter and graphic designer Max Bill, who is well respected as one of the most decisive influences on Swiss graphic design. Max Bill has designed all sorts of things, ranging from buildings all the way to chairs… yes, that’s right, he also designed chairs!<\/p>\n

Max Bill first started working with Junghans in 1956 by producing a wall clock, which featured clean lines, simple geometry and a unique type. The clock was followed up by watch collection which was released in 1962, the design of the watch was heavily influenced by the clock. These classic watches were incredibly popular, thanks to their beautifully simplistic design, and after being discontinued for a while,\u00a0they were rereleased with the original designs as well as new updated designs.<\/p>\n

The new Max Bill collection includes 3 new ladies colours, the first two are on bright red<\/a> and blue<\/a> straps – which were colours favoured by the designer. The final ladies watch in the collection includes a black dial and a leather-backed felt strap. All of the ladies watches in the collection are sleek, slim and beautifully designed.<\/p>\n

The gents designs are very similar in design but slightly larger. The gents watch only comes in one new colour which is a white dial and a beige strap<\/a>. Which is a contrast with the bright and bold colours featured in the ladies collection.<\/p>\n

The chronograph of the Junghans Max Bill range is called the Max Bill Chronscope<\/a>, which comes with either a white or black dial on a beige strap or a Milanese bracelet. The chronograph captures minutes at 12 o’clock, hours at 6 o’clock and the day and date at 3 o’clock. The simplistic design mixes with top of the range features to create a beautiful and functional watch.<\/p>\n

The final part of the Junghans Max Bill collection 2015 is the Max Bill Automatic<\/a> which is beautiful and functional with a self-winding calibre j800.1. Anyone looking at this watch will be blown away by the simplicity of the design, which fits in perfectly with the rest of the collection, but users will really appreciate the precision of the Max Bill Automatic. In terms of colour options – there is just the one, which is a stylish white dial on a beige strap.<\/p>\n

All of the watches in the collection, including the gents watches, are just as sleek and slim as the next. The style of these beautiful watches would have looked experimental and innovative in the 1960’s, but now look like a modern classic.
