Set to be released in June 2019, and with only 200 pieces available, this Grand Seiko<\/a> Limited Edition timepiece is definitely special. Marking two anniversaries, the 20th anniversary of the Spring Drive<\/a>, and 50 years since the first Nissan GTR<\/a>. The SBGC229 is a truly unique and one off watch, that will be a dream for collectors, and automotive fans around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Seiko Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Limited Edition has been created to pay homage to the race car version of the Skyline 2000 GT-R. It will be available until the end of March 2020, and is set for release this June. The design of the watch takes it’s inspiration from many areas of the GTR. Firstly, it’s colour, which has been taken from the iconic Nissan ‘Bayside Blue<\/em>‘. This blue it seen on the ceramic outer case, as well as on the strap stitching and some dial features! The ceramic case itself is sat next to a light high-intensity titanium inner case, both of which help to protect the watch from damage and scratches, whilst still offering a comfortable and light wear. The watch is also water resistant up to 100m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nissan racing livery has been reflected on to the watch too, with the same white being used as the white that can be seen on the cars racing stripe! This white is used on the crocodile strap, and then and the dial too! The combination of these colours, just like on the GT-R, creates harmony and a perfectly balanced aesthetic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nissan GT-R has been turning heads and pleasing fans for years and years now, and it does not look to be stopping either. The supercar has become one of the most recognizable and popular (for those who can afford one) models from the Japanese car manufacturers. With groundbreaking technology and style every single time, a new GT-R is always a big deal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grand Seiko Limited Edition Spring Drive<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This Grand Seiko Limited Edition is powered by a caliber 9R96, which features Seiko<\/a>‘s Spring Drive technology. This movement can be seen through the sapphire crystal glass case back, where you will be able to see the oscillating weight which is set with an 18K gold GT-R anniversary logo. The movement is accurate up to a level of \u00b10.5 seconds per day, making sure that you are never late. A movement to be relied on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stopwatch function has been included to measure elapsed time for up to 12 hours, and supports the watches efforts to celebrate the twin anniversaries of the Nissan GTR and the Spring Drive!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
