Yes it is! It was back in 2015 at Baselworld<\/a>, when the idea of a Pure Gold G-Shock Watch<\/a> was first announced, labelled as the Dream Project G-Shock! This would be a timepiece with a bezel and band both made from the luxury material, so would look quite similar to the watch we recently saw released, the\u00a0GMW-B5000GD-9ER<\/a>! We know how crazy Casio<\/a> and G-Shock<\/a> can be sometimes, previously wanting to sell watches to aliens etc. and so there was only ever one of this model ever made, a prototype that was never available to purchase.<\/p>\n With the release of the GMW-B5000 range last year, which as you can see took a lot of influence from this Dream Project G-Shock, the Pure Gold G-Shock looked set to be left in the brands history and never be released to the world. However, in somewhat of a U-turn, it seems that this may no longer be the case.<\/p>\n G-Shock have released that the model number of this special watch will be\u00a0G-D5000-9JR, not that we will be able to buy one! It looks set to be a Japan-only model according to reports so far, only available in a select few store, with pre-orders beginning in May 2019, and fulfillment to be in December. Not only is this a super exclusive model, only available in certain Japanese stores, but it also arrives with an expected, but huge price-tag, which has initially been reported at \u00a57,700,000 JPY, which is around \u00a352,000!<\/p>\n Looking at the video below, it seems that this model will arrive with a screw-lock case, similar to the GMW-B5000, and also very similar to other Gold watches too. The specifications look to be very similar to the\u00a0GMW-B5000 models, except without the Bluetooth functionality to your smartphone. I suppose you can’t have everything when you spend \u00a352K on your watch! The digital display is Casio’s STN LCD, LED display with full adjust-ability and language selection, so if you can make your way to Japan you will still be able to have yours in English! Other features that this model will come with include G-Shock’s famous shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 radio wave timekeeping, world time, 1\/100 stopwatch (under 1 hour) with 1-second stopwatch over an hour, countdown timer (1 second increments, 24 hours max), and 5 alarms with 1 snooze alarm.
