The Mondaine Backlight Technology has been created to allow a good level of visibility of the hands at night, without any disturbing visual effect of the design. Producing a brighter level of light without the luminous markers sitting on the hands or hour marks.<\/p>\n

Mondaine have used a thin foil, coated with Swiss-made, extra strong Superluminova material that is used frequently within the watch industry, which allows for extra long visibility at night.<\/p>\n

During daytime, the white dial of the watch will reflect light towards the under side of the hands, and charges the luminous foil attached in order to give power for the night time. During the night, the luminous foil releases the light again, illuminating the dial, making time-telling that much easier.<\/p>\n
