Colour is everything when it comes to a woman’s wardrobe, especially when it comes to accessories. Her favourite colour might not be a part of her wardrobe- for example, my favourite colour is purple but I wouldn’t want to wear it, on the other hand, they may love wearing their favourite colour! Perhaps find out what her favourite colour to wear will help point you in the right direction without giving too much away?<\/p>\n

Watches are a very versatile accessory which means that they can be made from a range of different materials. If the person you are buying for would like a watch that works well in both casual and formal environments then leather is a great, durable choice. On the other hand, they might want a watch that is made out of metal for more formal purposes. If they are the kind of person that strives to be unique then you can also go for a wooden watch, well suited for those that like eco-friendly accessories.<\/p>\n

There are not only leather, metal and wooden watches but also watches made from rubber, ceramic as well as fabric meaning there is something for everyone.<\/p>\n

As we have already established, watches have a lot of different variables, another of which is the type of movement in the watch. Essentially this means how the watch is powered. There are three main types of movement which are mechanical, automatical mechanical and battery powered quartz. Generally, most fashion watches are powered by battery-powered quartz.<\/p>\n

There are other types of movement, such as movement created by the brands such as Seiko which focuses on kinetic movement as well as Citizen which are well known for their eco-drive technology which charges via indoor and outdoor light sources. If the watch that you would like to purchase as a gift is mainly for looks, adding to their attire, then we would recommend battery\u00a0powered quartz which needs to be changed every few years. If the person you are buying for prioritises convenience over other elements of wearing an accessory then we would recommend either a watch that is solar powered or automatic mechanical (powered by the movement of your wrist).<\/p>\n

As we head into 2019, watches are more advanced than ever. Watches can have multiple functions which are called complications, such as showing the day and date. Women’s watches can also have chronographs as well as other complications such as moon phase, which essentially means it tracks the lunar cycle well as the cycle of the sun. If the person you are buying for would like an accessory that does more than telling the time you are in luck as there are a wide variety to choose from!<\/p>\n

Watches, just like other accessories can be worn for a number of different occasions. I like having watches for different purposes, for example, I have a Thomas Sabo watch that I wear for formal environments such as work and special occasions. I also have a watch for more casual days by Lacoste, so working out when they would wear a watch will also help you decide on the style and function.<\/p>\n
