July and August are months full of travels and holidays. I know that if I could I would be sitting on a sandy beach in the canaries right now. When you are going on vacation, or just a day trip to the beach, taking a watch with you might be the last thing on your mind. Do you wear accessories to the beach? For those of you that are regular watch wearers we have some tips on wearing a watch to the beach.<\/p>\n

\"scratch<\/a><\/p>\n

Tip 1- Wear a scratch resistant watch<\/h3>\n

This may seem like an unusual tip however once explained is very logical. Beaches are made up of two things, water and sand. let’s say you go for a swim and leave your watch in the sand, there is a high chance the watch might get scratched. if your watch is on the more expensive side then this is certainly an instant you want to avoid. Of course beaches (especially in England) are also made from pebbles and rocks, so having a scratch resistant watch would be highly beneficial.<\/p>\n

The good news is, we have a selection of watch recommendations for you that are scratch resistant so if you do wear your watch to the beach you won’t have to worry about the sand scratching your watch. The first watch is Maurice Lacroix’s Aikon<\/a> which styles a gold and stainless steel two tone.<\/p>\n

This watch is definitely for those that strive for a sophisticated and elegant style. Not only does it show off a two tone style, it also comes with a navy blue dial which matched the colour palette of a beach setting. One of the most important features of this watch is of course the scratch resistance sapphire glass which protects the dial of the watch, integral if you want to avoid scratches from the sand or pebbles.<\/p>\n

Our second watch recommendation is Michel Herbelin’s Luna watch<\/a> with a mother of pearl dial. This watch is well suited if you prefer a watch which is in one colour, in this case silver stainless steel. As with the previous model mentioned this watch is also protected by scratch resistant sapphire glass, a luxury that will be long lasting if you are a regular visitor to the beach.<\/p>\n

\"Water<\/a><\/p>\n

Tip 2- Make sure your watch is water resistant<\/h3>\n

This does not apply to all those regular beach goers, it is more a tip if you don’t feel comfortable leaving your watch with your items whilst you go for a dip in the sea. There are different levels of water resistance when it comes to watches, however, if you are looking for a watch which is suitable for swimming then we would recommend a watch which is up 50 metres water resistant. The first of our water resistant watches is Armani Exchange’s Rose Gold watch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is a gorgeous timepiece which also won’t break the bank. It is not over complicated in style and features an all rose gold bracelet and dial with the Armani Exchange logo at the 12 o’clock mark of the dial as well as the the brand name in the centre of the dial. Our second watch recommendation for watches which are up to 50 metres water resistant is Thomas Sabo’s Glam Spirit Mesh Watch<\/a> in a bold black. This watch is perfect for those girls that like accessories that make a statement and add to their style. This watch is minimalist in style with a simple dial which shows off the Thomas Sabo<\/a> name. Tip 3- Make sure your watch suits your style<\/h3>\n

This is one of the most important tips on our recommendations. This is whether you want a watch that matches your fashionista style or perhaps a more practical watch which is long lasting. If you do happen to be sitting on a beach now or in the near future, you want a watch that makes you look good and adds to your own unique look. It may be a watch which is bright in colour and matches your beach attire or perhaps a holiday watch which is saved for the more formal dinners of the evening.<\/p>\n
