Luxury watchmaking and The Muppets might not be the first combination that comes to mind. But the ORIS Big Crown ProPilot X Gonzo Edition proves that fine watchmaking doesn’t always have to take itself too seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Created in collaboration with Disney’s The Muppets, this special edition celebrates one of the most memorable characters in the Muppet universe: Gonzo, aka The Great Gonzo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, fittingly, this is no ordinary watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet The Great Gonzo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Gonzo has never been one to play it safe. Known for his fearless and eccentric performances, he is one of Hollywood’s most unconventional entertainers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ORIS has taken that personality and translated it into a watch that is just as distinctive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the skeletonised Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115, the Gonzo Edition combines ORIS’s mechanical expertise with bold colours, playful details and plenty of character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Watch You Can See Through<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the first things you’ll notice is the skeleton dial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of hiding the movement behind a traditional dial, the design gives you a clear view inside the hand-wound Calibre 115 movement. It is a reminder that there is far more happening inside a mechanical watch than simply telling the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
