Seiko Men’s Save The Ocean | Stainless Steel Bracelet | Blue Dial

This model, dubbed Turtle by Seiko fans, features a stainless steel bracelet and a stainless steel case, measuring at 45 mm in diameter. Its nickname is derived from the retro-chic cushion shape of the case as from the top it resembles a turtle’s shell. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the underside of the crystal. As mentioned above the blue gradient dial features manta ray silhouettes. The gradient and the dial’s finish create a water like effect making it appear as if you are peering through a window into the vast endless ocean as a school of rays swim by overhead. Luminescent hour markers, in the form of indices and circles, filled with Lumibrite and large hands contrast the dial. A magnified day and date aperture are featured at the 3 o’clock position. Its unidirectional ridged bezel is black and has a white minute scale contrasting it. The watch is water resistant to 200 metres or 20 bars and has a screw-down crown. It’s case back has a special engraving. The bracelet is secured by a three-fold clasp with secure lock and an extender. The movement on the watch is automatic, with a 41-hour power-reserve and has 24 jewels.

Similar to the previous model, this variation has a blue dial with a gradient effect. 3 manta rays appear on the dial as if frozen still mid-swim on its bottom half. The case measures at 43.8 mm in diameter and is made of stainless steel. A stainless steel bracelet completes the classic design of the watch. It’s secured with a triple folding clasp and features an extension for more comfortable wear when diving. The crystal on the watch is sapphire with an anti-reflective layer on the underside. Large thick indices and hands filled with Lumibrite guarantee ease of reading in any condition. The bezel is black and has a luminescent minute scale. The watch’s functions include a magnified date aperture, hours, minutes and seconds and a stop-second’s hand function. Like the rest of the Save The Ocean models, the timepiece is water-resistant to 200 metres and has a screw-down crown. The movement type on the model is automatic with a power-reserve of 41 hours and 23 jewels.
