I researched for a month before buying this watch. I wanted a divers watch which was solid but not too chunky. This is an absolute winner. I was initially leaning towards the eco drive, thinking that it must be better because it costs a little more, not so! The eco drive is a nice watch, and it is wholly dependent on what you want, but I definitely think this watch looks more classy. The battery lasts five years, and yes, with an eco you never need a new one, but five years is long enough for me, and not too much of a hassle to replace a battery after all. I prefer the strap, as it is less bulky and does not have the non decompression limits printed on it. The face is lovely and uncluttered, it appears bigger and crystal clear. I also like the day/date function which is missing on the eco drive. It all comes down to what you want, I prefer a classier looking dive watch, and this is it!
It's not a small watch at all, but I would reccommend it for women too if, like me, you prefer a large divers watch. That said, it doesn't lose any of it's 'manliness!' for the guys. The strap is on the long side, so it is aimed at the bigger wrists. Now I've just got to stop my partner from taking this for himself!
